Charleston-based Stacy Howell has been a commercial photographer and food stylist for 18 years. She likes to showcase food in its natural states and has a keen eye for detail and color. Her genuine reverence for the culinary spirit makes her a favorite among hardworking chefs and restaurateurs.
Stacy has just opened her own 1300sf studio and prop house, a space she finds huge joy working in. Though she still happily commands her work on set, too.
Stacy finds inspiration in the everyday, “It could be a beautiful cutting board I found at a thrift store, some beautiful figs that I found at the market, or whatever fresh fish the local vendor has that day. I love color and texture. Macro food images are also an endless source of inspiration.”
Stacy has a delightful personality and strong work ethic, which allows her to produce compelling photography for all level of businesses, from sole-proprietors looking for scale and affordability, to bigger in-house creative teams within a creative agency looking for someone to deliver elegance and sophistication.
