This past September was a busy month here at Boulevard Artists. We had our 2nd annual BLVDSelect Portfolio Review in Chicago, held once again at the beautiful F Stop Studios. The two day review brought many of the industry leading creatives in the Chicago area to meet with a select group of our photographers. Some stand out creatives who came to our event were Liz Miller-Gershfeld, VP, Executive Art Producer at Energy BBDO, and Antoinette Rodriguez Art Producer at Energy BBDO. Kevin Grady, SVP, Executive Creative Director at FCB Chicago, Sari Rowe, Senior Art Producer at VSA Partners Inc., and Haley Silverman, Art Producer at Young & Rubicam.
While in Chicago, we were lucky enough to visit the Energy BBDO offices, hosted by Antoinette Rodriguez, where we had tables full of our photographer’s books to share, along with a mouth watering spread of food for the creatives. It was wonderful to meet so many members of the creative team at Energy BBDO, all while looking out at their beautiful view of Downtown Chicago.
After our time in Chicago, we headed to Minneapolis for our first ever BLVDSelect Portfolio Review in the Twin Cities area. It was a hit with both the photographers and reviewers as we introduced our members and style of portfolio review to the Minneapolis creatives for the first time. Some of our reviewers were Ned Munson, Senior Art Director at Colle+McVoy, Chris Peters, Senior Art Producer at Colle+McVoy, Lisa Crawford, Creative Producer at Knock, Kris Lindquist, Associate Creative Director at Little, and Marsha Trainer, Executive Producer at Periscope.
We held our event at the MPLS Photo Center, which offered a large space with an antiquated, rustic feel, with art by local artists hanging throughout the space. Before and after our event, we stopped by the offices of Periscope and Mono to meet with their creative teams and show off our roster.
